What previous guests have said about La Maison de Beauport…

A romantic and inspiring house, the perfect base for our adventures. Fave beach: Plage du Palus; best fishmonger: the smaller one; best bread: artisanale boulangerie near Carrefour; best eateries: Chez Tonton Guy and La Cabane sur les Quais; best walk: 10km around Chateau de Tonquedec; best late night swim; high tide, the beach straight down from the house.

We have had a great week here with our dog Butch, he very much enjoyed watching the ducks on the lake! For a walk on a beautiful beach, St Quay Portrieux is a must. The rocks are covered in mussels and oysters. It must be amazing in the summer time.

We have all enjoyed a lovely week’s holiday at La Maison de Beauport. The house was everything we expected – and more. The interior is stunning and the views of the lake and the wildlife are never to be forgotten.

This house is a lovely place to stay, bright, airy and private. The bikes have been a revelation, we have used them extensively for trips into town and to the beaches. All in all, this has been a great holiday staying in a cool house in a fantastic part of the world. We will certainly be returning.

Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday in a beautiful setting. We loved walking in the woods and on the beach. The house was very well equipped and we really appreciated the huge choice of DVDs, the fire and the long table for family dinners.

What a treat! Such a delightful house, so clean, so individual stylish! Four very happy ladies say a reluctant farewell and thank you.

A truly beautiful house in an outstanding location. We all had an unforgettable holiday and the house was pivotal to just how enjoyable it was – it has a tranquility that cannot help but rub off on anyone who stays there!

The Springetts, August 2013

Really enjoyed this beautiful house. Took the steam train from Paimpol on a lovely sunny day. Cooked our tea and took it along to the beach to eat it in the last of the evening sunshine. Ate lots of galettes and crepes in the local cafes. Thank you for a great holiday home.

Fabulous house – beautiful weather! Children loved bikes, adults too. Cycled into Paimpol most days. We all gathered chestnuts in the woods and roasted them on the log fire every evening. Visited Brehec Plage – a super beach in a lovely area.

The Sharpes, October 2013

Great week, smashing barbeque, moorhen eats all the leftovers, jigsaw is possible – keep at it, stars are incredible at night, felt like a kid again in the woods. Beautiful area and house – wouldn’t say no to a return visit!

I love this house so, so, so much and therefore I highly recommend it to everyone. I saw kingsfishers, glow worms, owls, baby moorhens and lots more. The garden grass is so soft and there are two secret benches hidden around the house grounds. The lemonade cellar was an extra bonus.

We had a lovely week in this beautiful house. It was a joy to have a table large enough to seat all ten of us with ease so we enjoyed marvellous long French meals. The oyster farm was a real find.

The Jarvis and Jones families, August 2011

An interesting collection of natural history objects that I’ve been itching to turn over in my hands. The one labelled ‘Dinosaur tooth’ is possibly a Tyrannosaurid from its left foot. The ‘meteorite’ is a nice piece of globular haematite. The ‘weird sea claw thing’ is a goose barnacle…. A really nice collection of stuff! And, as I work in a natural history museum, a nice chance to try my identification skills.

What an amazing place to spend Christmas and New Year. We had a lovely time here, really relaxing and lots to do. The house is beautiful and we really enjoyed staying here. We went on some lovely walks and had fun watching the ducks. All the extras, the tree, the lights and food made it extra special, all in all a fantastic holiday.
